Intermediate (10+2)
After your 10+2, you can apply for Technical trades and take off for a challenging and fulfilling career for life in the Air Force. As an airman, you will support various missions and have many growth opportunities your way. Depending on your suitability and inclination, you can move to specialised trades or get commissioned as an officer in the Air Force.
After recruitment, you go through a rigorous training regimen at Airmen Training School, Sambra (Belgaum). Towards the end of joint basic training, depending on your qualification, performance, aptitude and physical attributes, you will be allotted a specific trade. After successful completion of trade phase training, you will be posted as Aircraftsman at any of the Air Force Stations.
You are eligible to apply for the post of airman with Combatant Group 'X'. Here you will be involved in highly specialised technical trades. Read on to know the eligibility criteria.

- Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Mathematics and Physics.
